The coffee shop and dispensary is known for being more than just a place to get your caffeine fix.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Central Texas is getting another Amsterdam-style coffee shop.

The Austin-based Lazy Daze Coffee Shop is opening up a second location in the Lone Star State, this time in Pflugerville.

Founded in 2004, Lazy Daze has become known for being more than just a place to get your caffeine fix. The shop also offers a large variety of cannabidiol (CBD) products that are legal in Texas.

While recreational marijuana is still illegal in Texas, House Bill 1325 was signed into law in 2019. The law allows for the production, manufacture and retail sale of hemp crops and products as long as they're at 0.3% or lower delta-9 THC level.

"There's plenty of smoke shops selling THCa and delta-8, but ours is unique because it's also licensed as a social consumption lounge," store manager Tom Petrini said.

Lazy Daze will open in Pflugerville, naturally, on Saturday, April 20. The coffee shop will be located along FM 685 near East Pflugerville Parkway. It's only the coffee shop's fourth location nationwide, with locations also in Maryland and New Mexico.
